Biography

Carola Orieta-Sperman (C.O.S) was born in Argentina and has lived and worked in Miami since 2000. With a background in architecture and design from the University of Buenos Aires, her practice is informed by a rigorous understanding of structure, construction, and form. C.O.S is known for her signature language of interwoven compositions, developed across both sculptural works and editioned wall pieces. Executed in laser-cut acrylic and meticulously hand-formed, her works unfold as fluid, continuous structures—precise yet dynamic, complex yet controlled. Her practice explores the translation of volume into surface, extending sculptural logic into two dimensions through refined collage processes. Across all works, light, layering, and repetition create a sense of movement and depth that evolves with the viewer’s perspective.
